According to a Report by News18 it is said that only 18 people out of 1 Million (10 Lakh) are getting checked for Corona Virus in India. This is the worst stats in comparison to other countries for checking Covid-19 Results.

But, there are some hidden heroes in every country who don’t talk too much in their words but they shows their Heropanti in their actions. Meet Minal Dakhave Bhosale a virologist by profession who have invented India’s first Corona Virus Test Kid half hour before giving birth to her Baby.

She is working in a private firm name Mylab Discovery in the western city of Pune, Maharashtra as a Research and Development Chief. Let us inform you that Mylab is the first Indian firm to get full approval to manufacture and sell Corona Virus Test Kit in India. This week, Mylab has successfully shipped its first batch of 150 Corona Virus Test Kit in Pune, Mumbai, Goa, Delhi and Bengluru.

“Our manufacturing unit… is working through the weekend and the next batch will be sent out on Monday,” Dr Gautam Wankhede, Mylab’s director for medical affairs, told the BBC on Friday.

Mylab is a Molecular Diagnostic Company which also makes testing kits for various diseases such as- HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C etc. The company said it can supply up to 1 Lakh Covid-19 Test Kits in India and can also manufacture up to 2 Lakh if needed.

“Our kit gives the diagnosis in two and a half hours while the imported testing kits take six-seven hours,” says virologist Minal Dakhave Bhosale, Mylab’s R&D chief.

Miss Bhosale who have directed the team of dedicated people in Mylab Discovery said that we have designed the Made in India Corona Virus Test Kit in just 6 Weeks instead of months.

She was about to deliver her baby minutes before delivering the Corona Test Kit to the Company and said- “It was an emergency, so I took this on as a challenge. I have to serve my nation”.

On 18th March 2020 Miss Bhosale submitted the final test kit to National Institute of Virology (NIV). 

Each Mylab kit can test 100 samples and costs 1,200 rupees ($16; £13) – that’s about a quarter of the 4,500 rupees that India pays to import Covid-19 testing kits from abroad.

16 Companies set to Sell COVID-19 Test Kit in India

Recently Indian Govt. has allowed only two Companies to sell the Covid-19 Test Kit in India. The first one is an Indian firm Mylab Discovery and another is German Firm Altona Diagnostics. These two companies are permitted to supply the Corona Virus Test Kits to private testing laboratories in India.

As pr the report by BusinessToday– “Two South Korean firms, Seegene and SD Biosensor have received government approval to supply RT-PCR based Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) diagnostic kits in India. The government also approved 12 rapid antibody test kits for COVID-19 diagnosis. Seven of them are Chinese companies. Overall, 16 companies can now market their test kits in the country.”
