Total COVID-19 Tally Reached To 10,77,618 In India

With a single-day record of 38,902 COVID-19 cases, India’s total tally reached to 10,77,618. According to the data provided by the Union Health Ministry, India’s total COVID-19 recoveries accounts to 6,77,422.

India’s fatality rate due to the coronavirus accounts to 26,816 with 543 fresh death reports. As per the data updated, in the past 24 hours, 23,672 patients recovered.

India stands at 2nd position in terms of global coronavirus infected numbers. As per the reports of the Health Ministry, 11 countries are affected the most due to the coronavirus. Those countries are Brazil, the US, Russia, Peru, Chile, Mexico, South Africa, the UK, Iran, Pakistan, Spain. These 11 countries reported 8 times more cases than the cases reported by India. Moreover, these countries reported death rates which are 14 times more than that reported by India.

At present, the total number of active COVID-19 cases in India accounts for 3,73,379. This is the fourth day consecutively when India reported more than 30,00 COVID-19 cases in a single day.

Total 600,523 Deaths Recorded Globally Out Of 14,233,355 Cases

The new coronavirus pandemic has claimed more than 600,000 lives worldwide. A total of 600,523 deaths were recorded globally out of 14,233,355 cases, a count based on official data showed, including 205,065 deaths in Europe — the worst-affected continent. The virus is spreading rapidly in Latin America — the region with the second-most recorded deaths — where 160,726 people have died. The United States is the country with the most deaths with 140,103, followed by Brazil (78,772), Britain (45,273), Mexico (38,888) and Italy (35,042). The number of deaths linked to COVID-19 has doubled in just over two months, and more than 100,000 new deaths have been registered in the three weeks since June 28.

Recently, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that in India the coronavirus outbreak is ‘limited and manageable.’ The ministry further said in a statement that measures taken by the Central government and the State government helped in reducing the COVID-19 numbers in India.
