Mann Ki Baat, PM Narendra Modi Addresses The Nation; Highlights

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 65th edition of his ‘Mann ki Baat.’ When he addressed the nation in Mann ki Baat last time, all transportation means were stopped. However, this time transportation like Shramik express become operationaL, said the PM.

With utmost precautions, flights have resumed; the industry is returning to normal, said PM in Mann ki Baat. He further added that with ease in lockdown, people must be more aware.

PM Modi said that people should compulsorily wear masks to avoid coronavirus along with mandatory social distancing.
According to him, despite the challenges faced by the country while fighting coronavirus, it is doing better than other countries.

PM Modi appreciated the efforts made by citizens like KC Mohan from Madurai and many more along with self-help groups making masks.

He also appreciated the innovation rising amidst the coronavirus. “A multitude of countrymen from villages and cities, from small scale traders to startups, our labs are devising even new ways of fighting against Corona; with novel innovations,” said PM Modi.

He also talked about the migrant workers‘ plight in his Mann ki Baat. He said that the government is working upon the making of migration commission. Recently, the central government has opened up possibilities for village employment, self-employment, and small scale industry.

He further said that he strongly believes in ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat.’

PM Modi in his ‘Mann ki Baat’ focussed on benefits of yoga practices during this crisis of the time. He also requested everyone to participate in ‘My Life, My Yoga’ competition. ‘My Life, My Yoga’ is an international video blog yoga competition.
He mentioned the havoc created by the ‘Amphan’ cyclone in Eastern India and the locusts’ attack in many parts of the country.

My dear countrymen, a few days later, on 5th June, the entire world will celebrate ‘World Environment Day’. The theme for this year’s ‘World Environment Day’ is Bio-Diversity. This theme is especially pertinent in the current circumstances: PM Modi.

Modi said, “During Lockdown in the last few weeks the pace of life may have slowed down a bit but it has also allowed us to introspect upon the rich diversity of nature or biodiversity around us.”
