Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared the continuation of the complete lockdown of the country till May 3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the nation after much apprehension for days as the nationwide lockdown foists for 21 days comes to an end today. Many of the state governments have already declared that lockdown will continue in their states.

The Central government made a briefing today and Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Nation-wide lockdown has been extended till May 3.

Prime Minister Modi said that the Nation-wide lockdown will be super strict till April 20 and all areas will be monitored to check whether the rules are being followed completely or not. PM Modi said that rules will be relaxed for the regions where the lockdown is imposed properly and fewer new positive coronavirus cases are encountered till April 20.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi added the central government will release a detailed plan for the Nation-wide lockdown tomorrow in the Morning.

Prime Minister Modi appreciated people of the nation who are facing hardships due to the 21-day Nation-wide lockdown. He said People have gone through hardships to save India from the COVID-19 pandemic. I know how many problems you faced. I regardfully nod to the people of India for their sacrifice towards the nation.

During his address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi listed steps taken by the Indian government to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in India. PM Modi added even when India did not have a single COVID-19 infected patient, India had begun screening travelers from coronavirus affected countries.

Comparing India’s situation to other countries, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said we are in a much good position due to our quick decisions.
