On Tuesday, PM Modi addressed the annual session of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), through a virtual online meeting. In that session, PM Modi discussed his vision on ‘Getting Growth Back’ with representatives of the India Inc.
He said about taking structural reforms that will re-direct the country. Together a self-reliant India will be built, he added.
He further told everyone to take an oath to make India Aatmanirbhar. The country now needs to manufacture products which are ‘Made in India’ and are ‘Made for the World’, he added. He invited India Inc to fully participate for the Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The direction in which the government is moving today, be it our mining sector, energy sector or research and technology, in every field there will be many new opportunities for the youth of the country.
Highlight Of PM Modi’s Session
We will have to invest in a robust local supply chain which will strengthen India’s share in the global supply chain. Moreover, in this campaign, a big institution like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will also have to come forward in a new role post-Corona, PM Modi said.
He further said that Re-strengthening economy against Corona is one of our highest priorities. For this, the government has taken immediate decisions. We have also taken decisions which will help the country in the long run, said PM Modi.
In his speech he said that farmers can now go anywhere to sell their produce, will open news avenues for agri-businesses. He told 5 things that are most important for a self-reliant India. Those 5 things are Intent, Inclusion, Investment, Infrastructure and Innovation.
He added that the Government will reduce its intervention from people’s lives. In his speech, he said that he strongly believed that the country will regain its growth.
PM Modi said, “I would go beyond ‘Getting Growth Back’ and I would say, Yes, we will definitely get our growth back. Getting the economy back on track is one of our highest priorities. I strongly believe in India’s crisis management, MSMEs and farmers.”
PM Modi further congratulated CII for completion of 125 years.
