A Muslim woman aborted after she was clogged from receiving operation in MGM Hospital in the city of Jamshedpur, in Jharkhand.
Days after a Muslim pregnant woman in the steel city of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand was arraigned of spreading COVID-19 and was asked to clean up blood by MGM hospital. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken note of the matter and asked for strict action against those responsible. The Muslim pregnant woman ultimately lost her unborn child after she was thrown away by the MGM hospital.
The National Commission for Women has written to Chief Secretary of Jharkhand for strict action on Sunday that a Muslim pregnant woman & bleeding, came to a Jamshedpur MGM hospital, was supposedly asked to clean up her blood, arraigned of spreading COVID-19, which led to the loss of her unborn child.
Accused of spreading coronavirus
A 30-year-old Rizwana Khatun had written a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Jharkhand narrating her ordeal on Thursday when she was rushed to MGM hospital in Jamshedpur after she started bleeding. Rizwana Khatun said she was abused as she belongs to the Muslim community and that she was asked to wipe her blood.

Denied timely medical assistance
The National Commission for Women said in another tweet that it is deplorable to learn the malice of the doctors as purported in the media report, and during the challenging times like coronavirus outbreak. The National Commission for Women has requested the Jharkhand government to implement proper institutional delivery to avoid the repetition of such kind of incidents again in the future.
Earlier in April, a baby died in the Rajasthan after a govt. The hospital in Bharatpur district refused to admit the Muslim mother.
