Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor on Tuesday supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to extend the nationwide lockdown till May 3. But Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that some relief for the needy was also required.

Some states like Odisha, Punjab, Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry have already declared the continuation of the lockdown in their respective states.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said today that India’s total number of COVID-19 positive cases has been reached to 12,363 including 10,908 active cases, 1,100 discharged or migrated and 420 deaths.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said during the presser through video conferencing that I disagree with PM Modi with a lot of issues but now is not the time to fight. Unite and fight the virus.
