Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is the newest celebrity to donate to the PM Care fund set up to fight upon coronavirus. The actor has given an undisclosed amount to trusts and donations into his other business ventures – production line Red Chillies Entertainment and IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.

Red Chillies Twitter page shared a lengthy statement in which Khan pledged his support to trusts and initiatives such as PM Care, Maharashtra’s Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Personal Protective Equipment for Healthcare Providers (PPE), Ek Sath – The Earth Foundation, Roti Foundation, Working People’s Charter and support for acid attack survivors.

Not only was Shah Rukh Khan a part of these contributions, but his Red Chillies entertainment business partner and wife Gauri Khan and Kolkata Knight Riders partner, Juhi Chawla and husband Jai Mehta also contributed to PM Care. The production house also declared that the actor’s groups would work in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata in collaboration with Chief Ministers Uddhav Thackeray, Arvind Kejriwal, and Mamata Banerjee respectively.
