Sushant Singh Rajput, a 34-year-old Indian actor was found dead in his Mumbai residence. The police disclosed that he committed suicide, as he was going through depression. As per the Mumbai police official, the team that visited his Mumbai’s residence found medicines related to depression treatment. The official added that no suicide note was found in his residence.
Medias reported that the actor was having treatment for his depression at Hinduja hospital at Mumbai. However, the police have not yet spoken to the doctor doing his treatment.
The police said that the post-mortem reports revealed, asphyxia due to hanging, as the cause of Sushant’s death.
“Provisional post-mortem report has been submitted by doctors at Bandra Police Station. Sushant Was Undergoing Treatment For Depression
On Sunday, Mumbai Police as well as the crime branch officials visited his rented flat. However, they found nothing suspicious. The police informed that Sushant last spoke to his sister via telephone on his death day.
The untimely death of the versatile actor has sent shock waves among celebrities and his fans alike. Scores of actors and politicians from across the nation have taken it online to share their grief and sorrow with the untimely demise of the young actor.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also showed his grievance over Sushant’s death via post.
Sushant was born in Patna. He became famous for his Zee TV’s serial ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Later in 2013, he made his Bollywood entry as an actor in the film ‘Kai Po Che.’ For ‘Kai Po Che’ he also received a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Debut. The same year, he was also seen in the romantic comedy ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ 2013, which was followed by the titular detective in the action thriller ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ in 2015.
