Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli took to Twitter to announce that they both have contributed towards PM-CARES Fund and Maharashtra CM’s Relief Fund to help fight the novel coronavirus.
There have been many reports stating the contribution of many actors and actresses from Hollywood, Bollywood, and Tollywood. As the economic condition of the country is very bad and the poor people whose livelihood is dependent on daily wages are suffering the most, the influential people are taking steps in monetary terms to help them along with the government.
Anushka Sharma wrote on Twitter that she and his husband Virat are pledging their support towards PM-CARES Fund & the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra). Their hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many people all over the world. They hope that their contribution, in some way, will help to ease the pain of our fellow citizens.

A source from the industry told that Anushka and Virat have pledged to donate an amount of Rs 3 crore to the PM-CARES fund, While the celebs didn’t reveal the amount they donated.
Several other Bollywood celebs also have contributed to the PM-CARES Fund. Akshay Kumar donated Rs 25 crore. Salman Khan also contributed by extending support to 25,000 daily wage workers from the film industry.
Earlier also Virat and Anushka Sharma have been active in spreading awareness about the coronavirus through their social media handles. A couple of days ago, both of them issued a joint appeal for self-isolation. Virat and Anushka posted a video message on Twitter asking everyone to stay at home.
A few days ago, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the nation to donate in the PM-CARES’ fund. Since then, various celebrities, along with the common people, are donating an amount as per their choice in PM CARES FUND.
